Jennifer Stuart Smith assured residents that management was in the process of obtaining quotes, for solid timber fencing to be erected, similar to the timber fencing, that borders other parts of the golf course. Such fencing was to replace the temporary fencing erected around the golf course, as the earthworks had been completed. This changeover would occur in the near future and residents would be kept appraised of the progress.
After 2 years we've still waiting to hear from management in relation to the replacement of the temporary fencing around the golf course.
This like many other commitments made by management, appears to have been forgotten. I am surprised that the golf committee, has not followed up on this undertaking by management to remedy this safety issue. Two years would appear to be ample time to have the temporary fencing replaced, yet no further progress has been made during that time.
Need we remind the golf committee and management, that resident safety should be paramount.
Safety of temporary fencing
There are some very steep slopes on the other side of these temporary fences.
One can reasonably assume that if a resident went over the edge of these slopes, it would result in serious injury and/or possibly death.
The temporary fencing erected at the moment, has in places, fallen over and is obvioulsy not capable of doing it's job, even on a temporary basis.
Management/golf committee, need to examine and rectify these temporary fences, to ensure the safety of our residents.
Solid Timber Fencing
The promised timber fences, with each post cemented in, would be a far safer prospect and enhance the look of the village. If one looks around the village, it could certaily do with some enhancements.
