1. The Union
Short narrative - Mike, a down to earth construction worker, is thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne, recruits him on a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission.
Rating: 7 - I enjoyed this action packed movie, starring Halle Berry and Mark Walhberg. A little bit of a thriller, with numerous funny scenes makes for a good watch.
2. Equalizer 3
Short narrative - A sequel to "The Equalizer 2" and the third and final installment of The Equalizer trilogy, which is loosely based on the "The Equalizer (1985 TV series)" of the same name. The film stars Denzel Washington , reprising his role as retired CIA agent.
Rating 8 - I,ve always enjoyed Denzel Washington's movies and this is no exception. I am a fan of the 'Equalizer' franchise and this 3rd instalment is another great movie. If your into action, good defeats evil, then this movie makes for a great watch.
3. Bad Boys Ride or Die
Short narrative - reunites the dynamic duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and their chemistry, both on and off screen, remains unmatched. These two actors continue to bring a unique blend of humor, heart, and action that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.
Rating 7 - Very enjoyable movie, strong story line, great humour and would recommend to our members.
4. Mission Impossible - Dead Reskoning
Short narrative - is a 2023 American spy action film directed by Christopher McQuarrie, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen. It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. It stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, alongside an ensemble cast including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, and Henry Czerny. In the film, Hunt and his IMF team face off against "the Entity", a powerful rogue AI.
Rating 8 - Very enjoyable movie, Tom Cruise always provides strong action movies, would recommend to our members.
5. Guy Ritchies - The Covenant
Short narrative - is a 2023 American action drama film co-written, produced and directed by Guy Ritchie. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim. Its plot follows John Kinley, a U.S. Army Green Beret master sergeant, and Ahmed, his Afghan interpreter, fighting the Taliban. Guy Ritchie's The Covenant was theatrically released in the United States on April 21, 2023, by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $21 million.
Rating 8 - Under rated movie, for those members who enjoy war movies, this one is a must.
